Cloud Architect Seeking New Challenges and Better Compensation

Hello, I reside in #London and have been working as a #swe at my current company for nearly two years. However, I quickly became disenchanted upon realizing that the #engineering team was in an echo chamber and had a feudal mindset over infrastructure. Despite feeling unfulfilled, I remained with the company and worked on a new project that piqued my interest. I invested a great deal of effort, completed each phase on schedule, and created a production-ready infrastructure from scratch – part-implemented, going further would require access IAM permissions that I'm denied. Alone. Unfortunately, I did not receive a #promotion to a #senior position, nor did I receive a salary increase during my annual review. Additionally, due to a new company policy, I am unable to #remotework from Ireland to visit my family and girlfriend. My non-technical colleague, who assisted me with project management, resigned due to unfavorable working conditions - although he gave me positive feedback on our working relationship. I recently passed the #AWS exam SAP-C02 'Solutions Cloud Architect Professional' to enhance my resume. Due to the company's dysfunction and my low morale, I am contemplating resigning and am searching for work with a better salary and opportunities for growth at a #hedgefund, a #finance institution, or big #tech company. I like to work from the office regularly but I also like to spend four months annually in my home country, split into time off, remote work, and bank holidays. Should I stay and fight for my project? Not so sure. Was I right to expect a promotion and a #salary increase? Do you have any suggestions for my next best move? Currently, I use #Clojure, XTDB, AWS, and previously worked for four years as a data engineer with #Kafka, using Clojure, AWS, Kubernetes and Terraform. I enjoy dealing with large data volumes and obtaining low API response times. Best regards.
