I have a coding interview at Snap for a Security Infrastructure engineer. The requirement is to clear a one hour coding interview. I know Python for automations but no experience with DS or Algo. 17 days to prepare, is that enough time to prep ? Any good resources to prepare for this kind of interview? Update: wasnt too bad at all, solved the question but fucked up the security question. They were ready to move forward with a pure SWE position but I decided not to and set up a call with a pure security team TC 110 YOE 2 #snap
Are security engineers expected to leetcode at Snap? Did you ask the recruiter what kind of coding questions you’d be asked?
@ipad9 , i was surprised too This opening is for the Infrastructure team and it is very development heavy
What kind of questions did they ask?
How do you get a swe position at snap with no ds or algo experience?
What security questions did they ask?
Not enough time. With today's competition 6 months won't be enough unless you already have experience cracking interviews and just need a review. If it's just 1 coding round, you might get lucky but as far as I understand, it's usually more rounds than that.
6 months is exaggerated. But 14 days is definitely not enough time.
Should I just ask the recruiter to push the round then ? Not sure if thats a good look
