My friend who works for Cognizant got a rating of 3. Is it out of 5? Is it something to worry about? Does that effect promotions or bonus?

Rating 3 is considered a good rating this year after a change from last. You can absolutely get a promotion and a payrise with a 3 rating.

Yes it’s 3 out of 5. FYI - At least 50% of all under the current performance review cycle are under this rating. So no worries!
