Which countries can you work from (US based employee)? I want to go to eastern Europe for 2-3 weeks and I want to know if you are allowed to work from there. Can you connect to the corporate network and are there any security restrictions? Coinbase employees please. #remotework #coinbase
Most companies allow working from abroad for a month
None. Most countries need work permits.
Use vpn router and setup a US vpn and only connect to the vpn router. This minimizes the chances being caught but still there are risks. Smaller companies usually care less.
Just ask for a severance
Dude do you have work permit for those countries? You can’t just go to some country and start working. Your tourist visa or American passport will not sufficient to work in most countries .
Like I said this is for 2-3 weeks and I am asking for company compliance and security not personal tax implications.
There might be an article on it on your company's intranet. The places I've worked at before allow for 15 - 30 days of working internationally without requiring approval
Company dependent, but if you turn off location services and setup a vpn through your home internet+ use a travel router with said VPN you're likely to be undiscoverable
Make sure you have your job before returning lol
