Commute from Dublin to Sunnyvale

How do i keep it under an hour one way? I don't see a lot of public transport options.. People in similar situations, what are you doing?

I used to commute from Concord to Sunnyvale and back, it'd be a 2.5 hour drive each way. There's already traffic buildup in Pleasanton at 6 AM, and you're likely looking at a 1.5-2 hour drive back to East Bay after work no matter how you cut it. I had a coworker who drove a similar distance but got to work at 6 AM and would leave at 2 PM to avoid traffic. If you want to keep the commute short you'll have to work some odd hours...

Makes sense, thank you

Can’t speak from experience but you could get a motorcycle and split lanes the whole way.

This is pretty much the way to do it.

Odd hours is the key. Leave work at 2-2:30 go home and work from home for few hours. Leaving from Dublin around 10-10:30 will be helpful too.

Helicopter is the only option but if you could afford that you wouldn't be living in Dublin. Good luck!

Public transit? One hour? Not happening. Maybe if you leave at 11, work from 12-9, and come home at 9?
