Clyde hill seems like it'd be the fastest driving as it's closest (distance wise). But keep in mind 520 has a toll (i90 does not yet). Have you considered taking the Amazon shuttle? That'll get you carpool so it'll be faster than driving by yourself.
Thanks. Do Amazon shuttles serve all three locations? I am leaning towards Issaquah due to better house and having a convenient shuttle will make it perfect.
Is there an app where I can check route and timings of Amazon shuttles?
dude have you heard of waze lol
Make sure youāre reviewing the commutes at exactly the times youād be traveling. I commute from Sammamish/Issaquah burbs to Capitol Hill. If Iām not on I-90 by 7am, itās at least 1 hour. However, it doesnāt have a toll (like 520). IMO, Clyde Hill sounds the most promising, time-wise.
WHY ARENT YOU GUYS USING WAZE
520 toll could run you over $8 a day depending on the times. There is also new construction on the Montlake side which is backing everything up so you pay for the privilege to sit in a parking lot the entire length of the bridge. SLU close in area traffic is a cluster too. Definately use the shuttles as they can at least run down the HOV lane for part of the trip and save you $.
Leaning towards Issaquah for a few reasons: 1) No tolls on I90 yet 2) Amazon Shuttle frequency is much more compared to other burbs (9 departures in morning vs. 3-4 from other locations) - I am wondering why? Is there high density of Amazon folks in Issaquah/Sammamish area? 3) Per SLU app, its a 35 minute ride. Adding car ride to the bus stop will make it 50-55min door to door, which is acceptable having lived a similar Chicago suburbs to downtown commute for ten years. 4) Relatively newer housing options
Agree, but that bus time doesn't appear to be counting traffic...
Just pay for parking and drive the entire way. Shuttle sucks
All depends on when u leave
Assuming leaving at 8am from suburbs and returning 6pm from Seattle
Those are the worst commuting times. If you can negotiate 11 - 7 for working hours commute is a lot shorter
