Took a gamble on Rivian that hasn’t paid off. Haven’t been RIF’d yet but things are feeling pretty out of control here and I’ve had enough. I suspect next big cuts will target employees in the Bay Area. Im in process of interviewing for Sr. Staff TPM role at Cruise and things are going pretty well. What sort of comp package should I expect? I know that Cruise can beat my current comp but levels.fyi hasn’t been super helpful. YOE: 13 TC: ~$350k (>$500k before stock drop)
What do TPMs do? Besides JIRA tickets
I’ve been wondering about this quite a while now
JIRA tickets.
Do not join !
Why??
Try to finish the interview process asap and join in Q1. Company comp structure is changing for folks who join in Q2 and later
Do tell us more
The company bonus structure is very generous currently due to (previous) high demand for tech workers. But considering the current economic climate, it is getting reverted to normal levels (read 'lower') to align to the tech labor market. This starts for Q2 hires. This is fairly new - so, seek confirmation from the Cruise recruiter.
I got an offer that I turned down from Cruise. It was very low and they wouldn’t budge. Would not recommend
What was the offer? Can you share any details?
How long ago was this?
Cruise never hires anyone.
Lol what? I know tons of people who have been hired.
*mind blown*
