The end of Backdoor Roth?!
I’m a fairly experienced infra dev, with experience in cloud platforms and back end services. Comfortable with different layers of the stack - Linux, cgroups, container runtime, Kubernetes, cloud providers, cloud networking, etc Given the current climate what companies are still paying 600k or more? I like to keep interviewing every 12 - 18 months to keep my skills sharp.
Have you checked levels.fyi ?
PE @ Amazon E6 @ Meta L6 @ Snap ICT6 @ Apple 3-2 @ TikTok
Forgot roblox - actually hiring
Snap seems to be too LC focused, so I’ll stay out of that. Recently heard Snowflake is also hitting this range, but don’t know what the WLB and culture there is like.
Dunno what our job postings look like, but L6 at Snap can hit that.
Does L6 snap have a high focus on Lc? I was about to interview for L5 about 18 months ago, but the focus on LC turned me off.
Yeah, you’ll have probably 2 LC rounds, then a domain focussed design and overall sys design if you’re targeting higher levels.
