Companies with a "commitment culture?"

Which Bay Area tech companies have a culture of commitment as described in the Charles Duhigg book, "Smarter Faster Better?" My company used to have a commitment culture before it started years of repeated layoffs amid an overarching focus on quarterly earnings per share. IBM used to retrain rather than fire people. They embraced diversity before many other companies. But that commitment culture is long gone. Working for an EPS target feels empty. What companies do it right today?
