If your team does daily standups, your manager is a micromanager
Are there any companies out there which doesn’t have 1 year cliff ( waiting time) for vesting? Ideally, monthly or quarterly vest right after you join is better for budgeting and keeping what you have already worked for rather than waiting for 1 year. I think snap has monthly vest right after you join. What are some other companies ? Some companies and managers abuse 1 year cliff by laying off people before their vest which is unethical. Therefore, one should get their prorated vest always right from the moment they join.

Monthly or quarterly?
Quarterly
Google - monthly Meta - quarterly
Google is not monthly, it's quarterly
Fun fact, different employees at Google seem to have different vesting schedules. This is anecdotal from comparing against people in different orgs when I worked there
Peloton
Walmart- quarterly vesting, yearly grant
But do people get those quarterly right after they join or have to wait 1 year then quarterly?
The grants happen in march and first distribution in June if you join before feb 1 or get a new joiner grant(some get it some don’t)
We only have a 6 month RSU cliff for new hires with quarterly vesting thereafter.
Google no cliff with monthly vesting and front loaded (in the long run, front loaded is bad, but I'm the short term is good if you want to leave after 1-2 years).
Hubspot - 6 month cliff, then quarterly after
Elastic is quarterly right off the bat
Amazon doesn't have a 1 year, it has a 2 year
Atlassian
Monthly or quarterly?
Yearly the first year and quarterly after
