When a company says “I will receive an annual RSU award in an amount equivalent to $12,500.00. The grant will vest over a four-year period in 25% increments beginning in the first year following the year of the grant.” Does that mean I get stocks worth as below? 1st year: $12,500 2nd year: 12,500 + 25% (3,125) that’s $15,625 3rd year: 15,625 + 25% (3,906) that’s $19,541 4th year: 19,541 + 25% (4,885) that’s $24,426 Or is it $12,500 spread for 4 years with 25% each year? #rsu
$12,500 over 4 years.
It is more like. $12.5k / price / 4 shares per year. The amount you will get will fluctuate since stock price fluctuates.
This ic confusing bcz it says annual RSU equivalent to $12,500. Better to check with Recuruiter
That's a really stingy stock grant. You're better off buying the stock and working somewhere else with more upside.
That’s so little. You could buy that stock yourself then if it’s over the course of 4 years. Agreed with above comments. Confirm with recruiter.
Does it say 50k anywhere in your offer? Because then the 25% note would make more sense
Nope
Thanks all.
To me it sounds like you will receive a grant equivalent to $12,500 every year. 1st year - nothing 2nd year - 25% of the 1st year's grant 3rd year - 25% of the 1st year's grant + 25% of the 2nd year's grant ..... 5th year - last 25% of the 1st year's grant + 25% of the 2nd year's grant +.... 6th year - last 25% of the 2nd year's grant + 25% of the 3rd year's grant +.... It is a bit unusual, most companies give a single grant with 4 years vesting, and then follow up with yearly refreshers.
no no no. its an award equivalent to $12,500 that vests over 4 years. but you get additional RSUs each year during you performance review

Why is our country owned by Israel? I don't want my tax dollars fund genocide. How can we stop this nonsense?
It's the latter one. 12.5k spread over 4 years. 🥜
Does it work the same at most companies?
The language is similar but vesting period differs. Ie meta vests every quarter from your start date
