What does TC look like for Compass in NYC for Senior SWE? 5 YoE, TC $210k+

With your exp and TC, you might as well try to get a job at FAANG. BBerg to Compass isn’t really much of an upgrade. And BBerg is known to pay well, not sure if you could say the same about Compass.
Had a Senior SWE offer from them in their NYC office. Offer TC was 260K after amortizing everything over 4 years (initial equity grant + yearly bonus in the form of RSUs). Cash comp is less than your TC at Bloomberg, though, so make a decision about how much you value paper money, and whether you think they will IPO.
I put Compass in the same category as WeWork
260K is a decent offer though. Did you join? I heard they are tight on the rsu side
Compass offers very high TC. I just got a senior swe offer, TC 320k, split cash/stock 45%/55%. This is NYC. I since got a strong aws offer in seattle that I plan to use for negotiation to even higher.
320K is not “very high” for Sr. SWE. You need 🌲 fiddy at least.
