Will Confluent have a similar kind of exit to Snowflake? Is Confluent in a similar stage to where Snowflake was a year back? Both SaaS product, have great adaption, confluent has lesser losses than snowflake? Thoughts?

I am not an expert at valuations..but, comparing the revenue of snowflake and confluent, can we expect confluent to be valued at 25B?
Snowflake is now valued at $80B
Yes, but confluent revenue is not as much as snowflake's
How much confluent pay looks like for l2, l3 and l4 in terms of options/RSU?
They do options
How much options they give?
I was an early employee at MongoDB and similar timing here at Confluent. Confluent’s trajectory has been superior: OSS differentiation vastly better, leadership better, and sales more effective at the same point in its timeline. Jay is a founder CEO, and an engineer, but he is damn smart and not blind with hubris. I think it’a an awesome company with lots of talent. it has the potential for a similar exit to Snowflake BUT I don’t think it will. From what I have heard about the numbers for Snowflake from a good source their current valuation is really higher than it should be even by the crazy trends of modern tech companies. On top of this my guess is that the whole market will correct before Confluent’s IPO (assuming that’s the direction we go). But who the hell knows, crazy things happen.
Sounds like a great work culture and company is headed on a strong trajectory. I am really interested in a Finance / Procurement role at Confluent, could you help me with a referral?
Would you say the valuation may go up to 5x from current? I haven’t used the product but wondering if it’s similar case as cloudera to package open source and provide service.
Well it’s a typical open core business model but very different approach from Cloudera in terms of the product offerings. It’s much more similar to MongoDB or Elastic in focusing on one “technology”, doing it really well, and providing a good managed offering as well as self managed platform. And sure, it’s certainly possible to reach 5x
How is the company culture? I’m looking for company with good wlb and company which is employee/customer focused. Who would you say your main competitors are ? Given my past experience, company which focuses on employee happiness usually builds great product. Would you recommend your friends to join the ship at this stage ? Been to FAANG, burnt by Uber . Want to make wise selection.
I have accepted my confluent offer and will be joining in a couple of weeks. Will my offer get rescinded?
I would say so but tell me this. Does the dilution of your options grant depend on the founders i.e. if the founders are greedy, can they dilute your shares entirely during ipo and maximize value for themselves. May be it's better to join a company with a non-founder CEO like snowflake for maximizing returns
Dilution can happen at your cost for the benefit of investors, founders or even execs.
