Will be buying my first car. What would you choose ? On F1 visa, with 2 more years of EAD validity. Currently Single with no plans to start a family within 2 years. Back of mind also looking for reasonable resale value if i need to move out of US or lose my job in layoffs. TC: 310k
Teslas are shit cars. Unsure why some think it’s a status symbol.
Ok boomer
I don’t think it as a status symbol at all. I have no one to impress tbh. I am currently with no car since a year🤷♂️
As a daily driver you just plug it in at home and never have to make dedicated trips to charge. Charge time only matters during long road trips, which depending on OP may not exist.
If you have access to a charger at your home/apartment, then definitely get the 2024 SR.
AWD has better traction. Long range matters.
Do you think its worth the extra 💸
If you want resale value, don’t buy a Tesla. The CEO threw that option out the window!
Agreed 😅 but it’s tempting when they are at all time low.
Well, if you wait another year you’ll have a new all time low you can consider 🙂
indian?
Why does that matter ?
knew it 🤣
There are so many good evs now in the market, why go for a Tesla? Their interiors aren't very good
Any suggestions which are on par with tesla and within 45k ?
You can lease a Tesla for 3 years
Yeah, let me check how much would it cost. Thanks!
Why are you buying TSLA when there is LUCID ?
Budget
Ok, sounds good
I wouldn't buy an EV. It's not a good investment, not for some time. When charging a car is less than 5 minutes to full, only then I would consider it.
My office has free charging stations as well as my apartment and i was hoping to charge it while i am not waiting inside the car. I am not into long road trips. This was the thinking for leaning into EV.
You charge it overnight at your house and never have to go to a gas station
