Fitbitters did your TC increase after this acquisition?
Yes, everybody I spoke to got an increase. Some as much as 50%+
I’m sure there are some exceptions but everyone I talked to was getting a nice increase. I’m not sure exactly how TC is calculated (I don’t spend a ton of time here, sorry), but my salary went from $120k > $150k and I was getting $10k of stocks per year in bonuses, and that’s now $140k vesting over 4 years. My bonus target went from 12% > 15%. The 401k matching is better too.
Same for HTC, Motorola...but I don’t think they were ever treated the same.
Motorola employees weren’t turned into Google employees. In cases of companies like Nest, they were converted.
