Any suggested locations for a family of 5, working west/slightly north of city. Is there a SW Eng/tech cultural in the area if the new position flops? I'm in the midwest.
Why ATT?
They approached me, they're a fortune 10 company. I have little experience with them.
What's the TC offered
I ended up taking the job, thinking of moving into Arcadia Ridge area, i'm sleeping on a cousins couch till I figure that out. TC 220k (base+medical+401k) Looks like I need to change blind accounts eventually.
Areas to search: Boerne, Fair Oaks Ranch, Leon Springs, Rogers Ranch. Anything outside of Loop 1604 and east of Bandera Rd is good. If you have school-age kids, Boerne ISD is the best. Our tech scene isn’t as hot as Austin’s (with a few exceptions such as cyber security), but the cost of living is way cheaper and the traffic is 100x better in San Antonio.

'Hindutva': The Radical Hindu Ideology That Seeks to 'Push Christianity Out of India’
You’re relatively close to Austin if it’s a flop. You should look for roles in Atx....much better tech/SWE city
I'm in WI/IL area, its enough of an increase in pay and a software quality teaching role that requires a security clearance I already have. From the interviews, I would really enjoy and learn from the position. I currently mentor/lead interns, junior Engineers, and an offshore team.
Yea look at Apple in atx.
