Constructive Criticism - chapter 2: The most important skill

Regardless of the job, the hard part is always people. And this is where things usually go wrong. E.g.s of day-to-day activities that emphasize on people: - using comms protocols: slack, chat, gsuite, confluence, zoomโ€ฆ - negotiating: with stakeholders, with internal teammates, x-functional partnerโ€ฆ - change management - training trainees - people management - decision making - Prioritization - project management - writing documentation - run experiment for consumer facing product - A/B testing - running a focus group I was pleasantly surprised to find out that at Doordash the issue is not lost on the exec team; in other words people/relationship management is one of the most (if not the most) important skill to have. What I struggle with is that not enough is being done to elevate this skill within the teams. e.g. a company sponsored technical writing program can help team write better documentation Drop a line whether or not you disagree and share how your team may already be solving for this Link to previous chapter -> https://us.teamblind.com/s/8BodjWL8
