China CYBERATTACK on UK ? WTF
I'm going to be a dad in couple of months, wlb is not a big deal so far . But I want to have good WLB when our little one arrives. how do you guys context switch between work and personal time . I have been trying to switch off myself in the evenings, but I am failing at it.
I save my registers and PC just before leaving work
Congrats! Here’s what worked for me for years: I list my tasks for the day in the morning and adjust my calendar accordingly. Then, I do any tasks that require a lot of brain time in the office. Strictly shut off work between 6:30-8:30. Then at 8:30, I catch up again. The tasks left at this point are usually documentation, emails, updates etc. which may not require as much brain power as coding or designing. So, I can do it with TV in the background too. Good Luck! The years go by fast with kids. So enjoy every second, even the sleepless ones!
That's a great advice !! I tried coming up with list for day, things change so fast that priorotizes need to be adjusted all through out the day
It's a mix of personal style and what the work environment encourages. Why do you say you are failing at it?
I close work and take my wife to talk , but I am not completely present . Physically I'm present but my mind is still revolving around work
