Contract roles in tech
Got an offer to work in legal dept at Intuit through a staffing agency. Sounds like work is identical to FTE but they don’t wanna pay benefits. Any input? Curious to know anyone who got converted to FTE at Intuit. Otherwise total lack of PTO and absolute crap benefits suck

Contractor to FTE here. What you’re unhappy about is generally what comes with any contractor role. I believe intuit does offer 5 days pto, outside of that they are one of the best companies to work for as a contractor with a good chance of conversion to FTE if you do well

I was a contractor to FTE. I had benefits and a few days of PTO through the vendor they payrolled me through.
Intuit hires tons of contractors, I did it for a year out of college as an engineer. You'll be an hourly W2 employee with no benefits other than your hourly rate. Contractors are Intuit are treated pretty well relative to the rest of the industry but you may not get priority on specific projects/work that you wanted. Can't speak to non-engineer role conversions but most of the contractor engineers I worked with got converted eventually (if they wanted to)
