Contract to hire position at Amazon
My wife got a call for contract to hire position in Alexa team. Pay is low as a contractor but recruiter told there is option to convert to Full Time in 6 months. What are the chances of conversion ? Can Amazon managers/employees please chime in? #engineering #software #swe #amazon #alexa

The conversion won't be simple. She's gonna have to work her ass off and go through a full interview loop at the end. But to be honest with you, they're starting to cut contracts and they're not converting any contractors to full time right now across many non Tech and Tech other jobs. So don't put all of your eggs in one basket.
If she has to go through full interview loop in the end, there is no point in taking up the contract role. Thanks for sharing this.
