New grad 1 year out of college seeking advices of life! After 1 year of soul sucking corporate job in a fucked up team and thanks to the good pnw winter weather, i find it increasingly difficult to stay positive for my life. I constantly feel depressed and hopeless for my future, but on the other hand I'm a foreign citizen aka. visa slave, i can do little to change my situation unless i get h1b... what should i do to stay positive?!!! Any advices? Facing quarter life crisis now!
Have some perspective and work on your happiness
If you are depressed, tell your doctor + get help...it doesn't have to be like this.
I was in a similar situation 2 year ago. Getting married & finding hobbies (wind surfing & hiking) changed my outlook and I feel sooo good now. I would try to go out and do something!! It'll sound boring/um-motivating at first. But with persistence I think you'll notice motivation & interest coming back into your life. Good luck
Try fish oil as a supplement and choose to be happy. For most people, it is a choice.
First of all think if you really like what you are doing .. if not find what makes you happy and go for it ..
People develop personal lives outside of work....and enrich themselves with friends, family, and loving people. The workplace is cold because it has to be for professionalism to exist. It's just another professional environment. I suggest finding what makes you content outside of the workplace. Also there are employee resource groups you can join to bond with other emerging (young) professionals.
How about being a bit more grateful you little shit. Get some perspective in your life this all disappears real quick
Go back home
Shut the fuck up.
