Have any of you used Costco Garage door services? (To install new Garage door for your home) https://www.costco.com/amarr-garage-doors-liftmaster-openers.html They use Amarr Garage door and Liftmaster. Service is done by RW Garage doors, the yelp reviews seem not so great https://www.yelp.com/biz/rw-garage-doors-hayward-2 But I have heard that Costco is generally good to ensure the services are done right or under warranty etc. But the COST of GARAGE DOOR plus MOTOR seems like $3000-$4000 with some discounts from Costco to make it a bit more attractive. Question 1: But since the prices are still high, wanted to check if any of you have used Costco or RW Garage Doors or any other services you liked? Question 2: How was the service? How much did it cost you to install new garage door, new motors and the accessories? Question 3: Would you recommend having 'windows/glass' in top layer/panel of garage door for more light to come thro to the garage and better visual aesthetics? Or is it a "security issue" and no windows and all steel/solid garage door better (despite poorer light and poorer visual aesthetics for the house) ? tc:185 #housing #costco #repairs #garagedoors
Yes, I kind of agree that if someone is going to break that window on top of garage door, then there are several other windows bigger around the house anyway. Yes, but was curious since if anyway installing a new garage door, then it is a decision to be made on whether the top panel has some window design or plain solid steel panel. Was curious what people would decide these days?
Can folks who have installed garage doors in recent years comment on the window versus no-window pros/cons

If someone wants to break into your house bad enough to break the top of the garage door and climb through, they are coming in either way.
