Couldn’t your company easily log into your blind account?

they could simply download the blind app and request a password change, which would go to your work email, which they own.

essentially since your company owns your work email, your company can change your password and log in.

Forgot password, basically IT, HR and many others need to collaborate to do this stupid stuff

And that would involve IT taking the initiative to talk to socialize. I think I'm safe.

    I hope they do

But wouldn’t they need to know the existing password to change?

no, they can request a password reset, and then blind would send a password reset email to the work email with a code

just following the flow for typical “forgot my password flows”

That will be illegal, big trouble for the company.

I don’t think it’s illegal — pretty sure anything under the work email domain would be theirs?

They can request a reset password and reset it, but connecting to your account is the same as impersonation and is illegal, doubt any company would take such a risk... Except maybe Uber...

    Fake News.

I forgot my password! What do I do?
Due to security constraints, we are unable to retrieve forgotten passwords. In order to re-access Blind, you must create a new account with your work email. All information traveling in and out of your device is encrypted and locked away, forever.”””

They already do that. And all your posts are tagged against you. 😱

Don’t worry, not sure if HR cares about what an individual posts on Blind. If someone can prove HR did that to them, companies will be liable for big payout for intruding on employees privacy.

So feel safe, and continue to bash your team and company. Don’t take Blind too seriously.

I’m pretty sure there’s no way to reset a password for blind. I think they can just request a new code and create a brand new account. So they won’t see any history and it won’t help them. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I signed up for Blind when I was at my previous company and I lost the password. I was told that the password couldn't be reset or retrieved. Sucked for me but at least my previous employer can't get access either....not that I have anything to hide.

Why would people register with company emails?
