I’ve got an offer from outside and informed to my current manager at Google. A counter offer is being prepared. Anyone has experienced that used a counter offer from the current company as leverage and increased an already signed offer from the next company? TC: 450k
Just accept the offer and leave, it's not worth it
Can you please explain why you don’t think it’s worth?
Did you interview just to get a counter offer or were there other reasons? Whatever those reasons are have not gone away and in 6 months you'll be back to square one, wanting to leave. You may have ruined the relationship with the potential employer too. However, if you planned this all along then it's a different story.
What level at Google?
Level 5. I got a counter offer, but declined. I'm no longer at Google.
Where did you end up going? Any regrets?

Why doesn't OpenAI offshore and reduce expense by 80%
I have never written a counter offer unless there was verbal agreement to accept the offer. If you have done that, just consider that you might be ruining the relationship. If the offer is not a written one, the other party probably won’t offer a counter
