Can someone please help me with comp range for Coupang staff/sr staff role in bay area? Also, what is the stock options vesting schedule?
Runaway
My guess is 750k
Can someone help with L7-1 Expat comp range in Seoul? Either for Product Director or Sr. Staff Engineer?
700k-750k but you should share your offer tc in return :p
I think coupang levels map closely to amazon L7-1 is close to senior l6/junior l7 at google. Thatās how we map the levels during interviews
Yeah it is usually senior l6/junior l7 with a few outliers here and there. The comp can go even higher with the right background and interview.
wlb is pretty good. but sometimes you get put on a project that requires coordination with the kr or China teams, which will require some evening meetings (somewhere between 7-11pm, usually a few times a week for an hour or so)
Yeah confirm this. Wlb is pretty good. Once a week kr/ch/Singapore meetings. Expect production releases needs vp approval thatās pain.
Are you HR :) I guess it depends on the team but my WLB is pretty f-ed
As an interviewer, your TC package varies. The ranges above are not a solid example. Really depends on your performance how much is offered.
700-750k pretty bad. They used to 670k or so for L6-2. L7 for Amazon is around 900k so don't accept L7 any less.
Lmao 7@couoang have a similar scope compare to upper 5 to lower 6 @meta
Donāt join. Korean Amazon. Lots of PIP
run away. It is not tech company. More like traditional company. Politics everywhere.

Stock options : 10,10,40,40 but you have a cash bonus in the first 2 years to cover it.
Stocks vest yearly? That's a pretty awful equity comp structure Is this "Cash bonus" also a yearly award based on performance?
