Credit Karma Levels
When Credit Karma posts a job, they often have a level associated next to it (i.e I, II, III, IV). What level is considered senior?
Senior is above IV and will say senior.

Within senior again you will have level I,II. The senior title is given based on yoe
YOE & interview performance.
There’s no hard requirement for YoE by level, but practically you aren’t gonna get an offer for senior SWE without at least 3-5. No one’s getting any title based only on YoE - lots of candidates get SWE 3/4 offers with more than 5 YoE, and lots of candidates get passed on because they aren’t hitting the bar regardless of how much experience they have.
The leveling at credit karma for software engineers is Software Engineer I, II, III, IV, Senior, Senior II, Staff, Staff II, Senior Staff I have seen many candidates where they are Senior at their company but may come in as SWE III or SWE IV.
