Critical Facilities

Awhile back I interviewed at an Amazon Data Center in the SF bay area, for a Chief Building Engineer. I have just under 5 yoe in critical facilities and currently work at a large hyper scale DC in the midwest with 15 to 20 direct reports. I felt like all of my interviews went pretty well until I had the last interview of the day. The last person I interviewed with was the person that would've been my boss, things were going well with that interview until he asked what the roles and responsibilities were in my current role. I explained in fairly I depth detail all of the things I do and when I finished he said "that sounds like my job." I'm curious if anyone at Amazon is familiar with the critical environments culture and if so is it hyper competitive? Did I intimidate this guy? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. #criticalfacilities #criticalenvironments

Can't say I'm in the same realm as mission critical projects or amazon, but perhaps your credentials spooked the hiring manager ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It seemed like after I told him what my current role was like the whole interview shifted. I also believe he hadn't been in his role very long, maybe 2 or 3 months.

Probably grew into his role from a different background and feeling insecure
