#cruise What’s the damage and reasoning?
Any engineers got laid off ?
They reaching out to me almost every other week. What the heck. dm if you need fb referral.
Still hiring in core tech.
C++ or die
Recruiters for Cruise are still very active and making it sound like everything is super safe there. Can some insiders elaborate on whats going on?
Everything is not super safe
GM owns cruise. They are going to have to start cutting at GM soon I think. Cruise is essentially a giant R&D project for GM so unfortunately it went first.
I guess OP is talking about Carnival Cruise layoff
Negative, it’s GM Cruise.
I was joking. sorry if it’s not obvious
Was only a matter of time :(
Agreed
Is Cruise a subsidiary of GM or not? I know they were at one point, but didn't GM spin them off?
GM is a major shareholder but at this point we're an independent private company with separate stock and board.
GM owns all the board seats. Equity expires to 0 in 10 yrs if no liquidation event.
Cruise guys, DM me for waymo referral(I didn't switch out the apple account)
Are you secretly working on Apple SDC?
Recruiter reached out in LinkedIn 2 hrs after your post. Jesus.
