More TBD
You think so? What makes you think that?
The numbers don’t add up. If corona lasts longer into 2021 it’s inevitable. Keep in mind that hardware teams need to be in the office working with expensive equipment. Large portion of the business relies upon testing on the streets, not building better models in zero traffic environments.
It should be more 8% is nothing
It was a surprise it wasn’t 10-20%
More ppl will be gone soon
Sigh. I wish the best for them - “coolness” can’t pay bills unfortunately :(
Cruise is a fucked up place
What about Waymo?
Don't know
8% (or in fact any layoff under 15%) is house cleaning with nice excuse. So probably good thing for the company

Any SDEs culled?
Yes
Sad
I don't see how Covid affected them, are they just jumping on the layoff bandwagon?

Cruise guys, DM me for waymo referral(I didn't switch out the apple account)
Seems legit
Is this accurate?
Cruise is amazing. Love working here
😂😝
❤️
Not sure why it’s not 80%. No viable product. No revenue. Sugar daddies are near bk when no one pays back their consumer car loans and they start writing those asset off as losses.
