Why 40%? Also, heard that Cruise has a short runway already? Any potential investors?
Honda and GM can provide runway as long as Cruise deliver
Their burn rate is higher than Waymo, and they will run out of money in 6 months. No one is going to invest on good terms until this is resolved, so they might have to cut to wait it out. Leadership had to be really dumb or already desperate to keep taking risks after the DMV made them scale back. Sad for my friends there that this was allowed to happen.
AV companies have no future.
Only Waymo does!
New does
I went recently through a full round of interviews but they decided to make the offer to another candidate. I’m glad things went this way!
Don’t leave Planet? It’s making the world a better place?
With the UAW strike impact to GM this will be a double whammy for Cruise.
KV will likely need to step down. New CEO will announce 40% layoffs to restructure. Sooner or later we'll need more cash to burn.
