All major applications that you are currently using like youtube, insta, app stores etc can be built using blockchain as engine. Biggest advantages are 1. As a creator you are in control of your content and no body can cancel you. You get to decide your rules not the companies. 2. For consumers, it enables secondary sales which just doesn't exist currently for digital purchases. To all blockchain noobs, I will dumb it down for you. There are developed communist countries and democratic countries in the world. Big tech owning everything is like communist governments controlling everything and you are at their mercy. Blockchain is like a democracy, citizens get to decide what they do. For example, you can pretty much do everything in China and in USA. It just comes down to your preference. Crypto and NFTs are just the start. With more funding we will continue see more blockchain apps and you wouldn't even notice any difference between web2 and web3 applications. #blockchain #tech
Gotta hype this up so I don’t lose my job
Honest 😇
Dont care
lmao
Lol. Let's see you use a blockchain to store petabytes of highly available video data. The best you can hope for is some sort of torrent-like network with metadata on-chain.
It is decentralized, who ever contribute infra to the network is rewarded. But the way networks works is controlled by blockchain algo. Which means companies like amazon can still participate in web3 but they don't get to set the rules. For participating they will earn their fair share.
Suuure. I've never seen a blockchain project that handed a16z or another VC fund enough premined coin to outvote retail users.
Your web3 bullshit is more centralized than that which already exists.
it just depends on how it was implemented by the developer. ipfs, arweave, etc
Lovin this copypasta
Copypasta from my own postaa.
Cool
There are some places on the internet with very little moderation. They're not very nice places. Regulation is a feature, not a problem.
Web3 can't handle B2C scale. Blockchain slow af. You have to sacrifice scale if you are prioritising "freedom" and "privacy". Content creator platforms will never care about the control its users have. That's the last thing they want if the desired outcome is revenue. So no, it will not make sense for any "for profit" business to run on blockchain. - Crypto noob
From Algorand Foundation website: “The relay nodes on that list are operated by Algorand Inc., Algorand Foundation, and participants in a few relay-node-running programs of the Foundation” lmao. Centralized af. ETH & BTC only.
Bitcoin has over 100k nodes, and Ethereum has over 10k nodes. Nodes have control over the chain, more than miners/validators which are just block producers. When you have a centralized party controlling the nodes, you’re leaving it to them to verify the chain. TPS is just fine on Lightning Network and optimistic/zk rollups.
Ok
