Guys, Iโve been buying selling crypto since 2016 when BTC was 500ish, never hold more than a month or so and sold off for meagre profits. Now it looks like whole world is moving towards Crypto in one or other way so i donโt want to be that loser anymore. Can you suggest an investment strategy, i am planning to start putting 1000bucks/month equally in BTC, ETH? no matter what, from every payroll just straight to the Coinbase account... #personalfinance #investments #crypto
I always buy high volatile "stocks" at all time highs. Should've invested in GME @ 450, or Tesla a couple weeks ago.
yeah that GME quadrupled my money in a month sweet
Just dca and you donโt need to care about price.
Step 1: don't use coinbase, they charge exorbitant fees. Imagine a broker that charges $50 for every $10k transaction (before the spread)? Even in pre-RH days brokers charge $5/transaction. Coinbase's 0.5% fee is pure robbery. And if you use the instant buy feature the fee+spread is probably 1-2%.
So what should one use?
Google around, lots of cheaper exchanges, Binance, BTSE, CEX, Gemini etc.
Swan Bitcoin or okcoin
Agree. Swan Bitcoin is great. Daily stacking and lowest fees
But when you buy the price is few hundred dollars per BTC higher than coinbase or other places
Why not BlockFi?
Those fees will eat into your returns
What fees? I do recurring trades and there are no fees
Wire me the money. I will invest in BTC for you.
If you just DCA and hodl, rather than buy/sell over the years, your gains would have likely been much higher and avoided yearly capital gains. Maybe you should go back and run the numbers.
you are right, canโt roll back the past, DCA sounds good to me. God i bought at 500 bucks too :-(
No sweat. I did early on too. Using to buy junk crap at $300. Lesson learned, now I just stack.
You need an option for DCA daily or weekly.
yeah and whatโs the cheapest alternative for the same?
Allocate at least 30% of your portfolio to Basic Attention Token. Not joking
Iโve always loved BAT since launch but would love to hear your thoughts?
Why are you asking Blind if youโve been in it since 2016? Youโre a veteran compared to the typical Blind demographic.
i am just not sure too many stories in the office people talk, talk and talk about how they put $$$ and paid back their mortgage or bought a new home. For me i just bought it and whenever i had like 20% i am out, now thats way far and i am not sure if its wise to start putting $ now?
Do it! Maybe diversify a bit with a few of the top alt coins. Itโs feeling closer to mainstream now for the tech crowd but itโs definitely early in terms of accessibility to the general population.
