I’m currently interviewing for a Interaction Designer role and wanted to know what the culture is like at Oracle? I’ve heard good thing about the leadership, but what is it really like? #design #interviews #culture
Run by ex-Microsoft
Run by agency folks. Pretty chill but feels decentralized. Culture varies depending on which engineering org you are in.
Under product or under brand? Product has strong leadership, brand does not.
Thank you all for the replies! I am interviewing for the Redwood Design Systems team, and was curious.
If you have no other options, oracle is fine. There are many much better places for designers across comp and culture.
Doesn’t Oracle do crazy high base to make up for no bonuses and shit stock?
Is anything in that Redwood systems video actual product UI? Also, who decided that brown and rust are solid colors to make a UI with?
I think it was introduced in 2018 and all new products use it. Oracle cloud hcm has many parts using this too with rollouts to all products happening now, I remember seeing a gaant chart in fusion scm using redwood and it made that sexy lol. I like the contrast colors we use, what’s bad about brown and rust? Their reasoning was they wanted Oracle to have warmer colors from the bright red that was previously Oracle
Is this Hillal's org ?
Highly depends on the team you are in but Design system team is better than most cause they are the only team that ships stuff
