2019 grad CC: 60k Bonus: ~3k RSU: ~5k YOE: 1 Area: DA, ETLs Loc: SoCal Some of these posts make me wonder if im missing out on something. Ppl with the same YOE as me are claiming to already be making 6 figures in similar roles albeit at larger companies. Id like to make/surpass 100k in 2020. How can i get my TC to look more like yours when i move on? Are there certain companies i should pursue more aggressively? Any advice welcome.
Good stuff, thx
Move to Seattle or Bay Area.
Thought about it but may not be able to for a while for fam reasons
Average new grad salaries are not that high. The students who get the best offers will land 6 figure jobs. Of course everybody wants to make a lot of money. You just gotta improve your skills via leetcode and interview at companies that can pay 6 figures for a new grad.
Would I still be considered a “new grad” in 2020?
They'll probably still treat you like a new grad in 2020.
My first tech job was 11/hr. You're doing fine.
I appreciate this
My first job was 75k. Three years later I'm at 430k. Study LC hard. This all happened in SoCal as well.
Really inspiring. Had a bunch of competing offers?
Wow, big moves. How many moves did u make within that 3 year span?
Op, not many in this world can say they even have 68k. You are doing great. Don't compare, it will only bring misery to you. Enjoy your life, there is so much more to explore than just leet coding
yeah just be patient, and grateful with what you have. The harder you work, the more easier it will come
Started at 72k TC in greater boston. Not sure if COL in SoCal is as crazy as the bay area
Lol that's ok TC for a newgrad.
What does 'CC' stand for (it looks like base pay)? Current compensation?
Sorry base pay is probably better, I meant cash comp
Locations are different.
