Modi is a legend, will be remembered for centuries to come
I made it onto the on-site round of interviews and am being asked for current salary as well as salary expectations, as well as breakdown between base, bonus, and equity. My current position has no equity, so listing that will result in a huge gap between my current and desired comp. Is it better to just leave my current comp out? Context: currently SE2 with 3 years in industry, interviewing for SDE/SDE2 role at Amazon
But sometimes that field is required when you are filling out a form online!
@Boston00: don’t fill it out. Enter something obviously unrealistic. If the recruiter rejects you, consider it a dodges bullet.
Think big and add zeros- for your salary expectations, take whatever you make now and at least double it
Also worth noting that nobody ever checks or could check.
Come on. You know not to ever give them a number first. Read the Kalzumeus posts on salary negotiation.
Are these posts within Blind? I searched Kalzumeus and nothing came up
Oh! It's a blog. Search "kalzumeus salary negotiation" on Google. There's two of them. Both great content. There's even a podcast episode.
