Cybersecurity career @Mckinsey
I am considering applying for cybersecurity related positions at mckinsey as an AppSec engineer. What should I expect related to the job duties, and would it pay back for my future endeavors?
What? McKinsey is equivalent to having Harvard on your resume? Why do you think so?
McKinsey is like glorified WITCH - it is all Consluting at the end of the day. McK business model is to pimp conslutants by the hour and bill customers. You pay poor schmuck $100/hr while billing customer for $600/hr and capture the difference. Thats it, nothing more. Being consultant (like Partner/MD) is elite, but Cybersecurity is not their expertise - you will be backoffice rat sitting in your cubicle dealing with internal apps and bullshit. So, no - you will not get elite and prestige by joining McK as cybersecurity eng. only frontoffice consultants get the prestige, everybody else are backoffice disposable workers You certainly wont be sitting in Fortune500 board rooms 🤣🤣🤣
Stay. Why would you want to come to the Firm?
wouldn’t recommend it, VMWare looks much better in my opinion
