I’m caught up, so spoilers ahead. About me: I’ve seen all the movies (kind of), they’re all super boring to me, I don’t think I’ve finished any of them and haven’t really seen ep 3, except scenes on TV. I’ve really enjoyed most of the shows Clone Wars (have only seen some of the episodes), Mandelorian, Book of Bobba Tea. Idk if I’m considered a Star Wars fan, but w/e. Here’s my issues with OBK, the Leia chase scenes don’t make any sense, it feels contrived. I don’t get Reva at all… she seems like a terrible coworker, how the heck did she move up the ranks? I feel like she would have been pipped after kidnapping a princess and causing an Inter galactic incident. Also, after she does her deed, everyone just goes about their business… I get they’re the “Bad guys”, but I’m sure they have a “don’t kill your coworkers” clause in their contracts. Also how the heck did she do that thing at the end of ep iii? Can she teleport?? Then there’s OBK himself… he wants to train Luke, but he’s completely given up on keeping his skills fresh… what’s his plan, just let himself go for 20 years, then start practicing a month before Luke turns 20 and never be in a situation where his god like powers would come in handy? Idk, I’ve already invested 2 weeks of time and 3 episodes, so I guess I’m in it for the next 3 weeks, but I’m not happy about it! Tc 200k
All of Star Wars sucks
The mandelorian was a lot of fun to watch. Clone wars has a lot of fun action. I think it was a very creative show
Even I saw the original trilogy and the prequel ones recently and I was thoroughly underwhelmed. I think for the original ones, maybe they were cool when they first came out. Considering they were released in 70s, they must've seemed amazing back then. That's my guess. Otherwise it's mediocre acting from most people, the plot isn't that intriguing, the twists are decent but not great. A solid 6-7 type of movie. Based on the Star Wars nerds, I was expecting something insane
I think it's still kind of too early to tell. The way they talk about abi wan's abilities, i think of him as tobirama senju. But seeing him fight in third episode, he looks like a side character. But again I'll wait for last episode to judge the series. I just hope they do justice to his abilities.
I’m kind of curious how much time has to pass for it to not feel rushed Don’t you think it’d be a little jarring if he gets super force buff in two episodes?
Hey - Obi Wan here. As you know I was able to FIRE and now having wild parties aboard Daddy Bezos yacht. Thankfully there is a Jedi Leetcode site created by Yoda that I plan to do for a few weeks before getting recruited by Luke (also known as Lugle or Loogle). Gonna join Yoda and girls in the hot tub now. Take care
Hello there
I'm enjoying it because of nostalgia, but yeah the show isn't good
I think they dropped all the budget on getting Ewan to do the series. The production quality, editing, and acting seems like almost SciFi channel level. It has been decently entertaining if you can just look past some of those items, but it has been surprising for what should be a key franchise show for Disney+.
Maybe that’s what happened, but yeah the chase scenes look like an episode of power rangers lol
U bring up a good point about Reva being pip’d but i believe the sith promote that kinda behavior(literally) and they have no pip culture :( In all seriousness tho the show sucks as much as I hate to admit it. Reva is not menacing, OBK kept running away from what I thought would be a somewhat epic duel, and I doubt we’ll see much of Hayden at all tbh.
I guess that’s a good point, but then she’d have a reputation? It feels like the first episode is the first time Reva meets the grande inquisidor. I feel like if my coworker was that nuts, I’d be super wary haha. Idk if I’m being super nit picky or if it just wasn’t that well thought out
I love the movies. Imo, so far Obi Wan Kenobi is meh. The kid scenes are very Disney. Leia is cute and all defiant all the time, but why? Episode 2 mirrored a John Wick movie.
Yeah the guys tripping all over themselves instead of just catching her lol… the one with Obi wan made even less sense lol. Yeah some of it was cool though
The only two characters that have stood the test of time are Darth Vader and Yoda. Every attempt to demystify other characters have failed miserably. I only watch them for nostalgia as my parents were big fans when the first trilogy came out. As everyone stated, the chase scenes in Obi collectively insulted our intelligence. If the other Marvel shows are any indication, I presume Obi will get a lot more dark in the coming episodes.
You haven’t see the movies, that’s the problem
I’ve seen most of most of them. Except the new trilogy, I only saw episode 7. Would that really make it better though?
