This week: LinkedIn layoffs off 600-700. Qualcomm is laying off 1200. Waymo laid off. Nokia announced it will layoff 14000. Ericsson is also laying off. Is this another wave?
Yes... It makes sense in terms of timing. If the company wants to offer severance through the end of 2023 or "through the holidays" and doesn't want to break the news via WARN, then the second half of October is when the layoffs occur.

Adobe did not layoff
Lots of silent layoffs and pip driven firing

Qualcomm 1200 is CA only.
Layoffs have been constant since Q2 2022, it's just most of them were not the big brand names. Layoffs will continue until interest rates start falling which is unlikely to happen in the near future with oil prices rising.
