Data Labelling in the age of ChatGPT

What happens to demand for ML services, data labeling, and other AI-as-a-service companies with ChatGPT? Many AI companies were out there pitching “we help you make AI and ML easy. AI for everyone!” Well, we kinda have that now. I’m confident that ChatGPT can do <3 YOE generalist analyst work already. With the right inputs, it can do more technical work like mid-level revenue reconciliation or legal counsel. After the initial hype, I can see these AI-only automation companies losing ground. Instead traditional workflow software companies will build language-based AI features into their offering (eg, gsuite, salesforce). Wdyt? Also is this a boon for data labelling companies since big tech is gonna now fight with LaMDAs instead of in the metaverse?
