It seems SAAS companies value is often calculated from by multiple of revenue (said to be 1 billion dollars). Splunk has reported quarterly revenue above 1 billion dollars recently with a market value 13 billion. So compared to Splunk. Databricks seems to be extremely over valued. However, snowflake reported 2 billion dollars revenue with 47 billion market cap. Which seems to justify databricks high valuation. Where is the difference coming from? How much do you think databricks worth?
Yeah where is Snowflakes revenue coming from? I'm confused to long term effect of it
Growth rate is different, so is valuation. I'd value databricks at 24 billions. about same multiples as snowflake. If you're getting an offer from them i suggest recalculating the rsu based on what you think is a fair value..
Growth rate, profitability, total addressable market, stickiness of product, moat.
Our current estimate based on comps, talent moves, macro and revenue is $37.8b
