Databricks vs Rippling
Hello Blind, I need help deciding between two offers of Rippling and Databricks. Databricks: Level: L4 Pros: Good work culture according to blind Lots of perks other than TC Cons: Bigger company (might be more bureaucratic) Lower level than Rippling Rippling: Level: L7 (Equivalent to Databricks L5) Pros: Smaller company (will have more say, opinions would be heard) More potential to grow within the company and create impact Higher level than databricks Cons: Bad reviews of work culuture on blind No perks besides TC TC for both is ~430K with similar stock / cash split Also, both companies seem to be quite overvalued with very high revenue multipliers. You should try to figure out what part of Rippling it will be. I used to work in HR software and imo boring hr domain + stressful company culture (I've heard) = burnout. Just my two cents.

Honestly the work culture is quite bad. Constant grinding without much reward. Over competitive colleagues.
Reward? L4 people make $380k and L5 makes 550k. Which company gives this kind of reward? And bad wlb is across the board at all companies.
Out of the 550k, 350k are paper money. The base is quite low. You end up not being able to buy a home, for example
How the hell is your tc so high at 5 yoe? I didn’t know we pay so much. Yoe at google and current level?
Same money for lower level? Heck yes
I've heard bad things from both. But I have heard worse things about Rippling.
