What happens when most of your team is Indian?
Snap has higher pay, and bigger name. But I feel like Datadog has more potential for growth.
If you already have Amazon you don't need snap IMHO.
Snap will be a better place to get into product work. Datadog may be better for infra and distributed systems stuff. But both companies will also be great for both of these things. Great options, good luck!
Google is like Konoha Hidden Leaf Village Amazon is like the Hidden Mist Village. Very brutal but weak. Snap is like Akatsuki
Lol I am dead
Lol what does this mean? I don’t watch Anime
I'm obviously a little bit biased and have no experience with Snap, but Datadog interns are valued and can easily have real impact in the org
Lol so that's how the story is sold to every intern.
Agree with my colleague in the previous comment. I’ve worked with interns and they got to work on cool projects that actually contribute to the product and are using newest tech stack around. Also many interns choose to return for full time positions.
You already got offers for summer 2021?
This is actually for fall, I got contacted by some recruiters to interview since they had openings
As an intern I’d say snap is a better resume builder. If you were an FTE I’d say datadog as their equity will grow faster
Yea I agree I chose to go with Snap for that reason.
I interned at both. Feel free to dm
I’d choose Datadog. I’m old and I despise Snap, so maybe that’s why
Snap is the best company to work for as a FTE. I highly recommend Snap.
Why is it the best? Better than working at google even?
I had an offer at snap last year and turned it down, sometimes wish I hadn’t lol
