What do you think is wrong with a kid who got rejected by 9 colleges?
People always advise against dating at work. I get it, if the relationship doesn’t work out, it will be awkward. But how is this avoidable when one spends so much of their time working? Are there any success stories out there for those couples that met at work?
My wife was my colleague in first start up company. 😀😀 have fun. It should be fun and enjoyable.
I know exactly who you are :) small world
I met my boyfriend at work and worked on the same team as him for several years (before we both moved on to new jobs). It can work if you’re mature about it and understand how to deal with it.
Golden rule : "Don't do it because it is not worth the risk"
It depends on the ground rules you set, and how mature both of you are at following them.
It’s not just about breaking up - it’s also about the initial asking. My wife was asked out constantly by guys at work, some of whom were dicks when she said no. They made her work life much more problematic. This means that any time a woman is asked she’s then having to deal with “how is this guy going to behave when i say no”. This can make a really problematic environment for her.
This is a really good point. This exact thing happened to a friend of mine at a previous job. He was in a management role too. And when she finally started dating someone outside of work, he started treating her poorly. She’s not faultless either though. She flirted with him a lot even though she was never interested.
Bill and Melinda Gates; jeff Raikes and his wife... they met at Microsoft. And there are a lot of others. Maturity helps
Maybe I need a job at Microsoft then haha
