Hey folks, I wanted to share some resources on Day 1 CPT. Many are looking at Day 1 CPT after OPT runs out if still can't get an H1B visa. I wanted to share this list that puts together different companies' policies on hiring and onboarding new employees on CPT these days. Check out the link here: https://day1cptuniversities.com/day-1-cpt-employers The FAANG companies seem to be tricky: - Facebook isn't taking CPT hires at all - Amazon is cool with current employees switching to CPT if they don't get H1B, but it's case-by-case for new hires (they did in 2022) - Apple is a no-go - No word on Netflix - Google has been letting current employees do CPT but not sure on new hires now - some jobs(sde,program manager) took CPT people in 2022 but didn't sign CPT agreement for them Other big tech and startups seem mixed: - Microsoft and Uber aren't CPT-friendly - Adobe was onboarding new CPT hires as of May 2022 - Doordash SDE jobs took CPT candidates as of Oct 2023 - Accenture, Bloomberg, Capital One, EY are a no for CPT - Deloitte is maybe case-by-case as of May 2023 - Disney does it case-by-case too Smaller companies you'll probably have to negotiate specifically. which one you found is incorrect?
Capital One allows Day 1 CPT for current employees
Do they hire new employees on CPT?
TSLA allows.
Can confirm Accenture doesn't allow Day1 CPT so as PWC.
I spoke with Pinterest and TIkTok recruiters recently and they don't entertain people on Day-1 CPT either.
