I'm expecting an offer from Dell to move from i7 contractor to full-time for i8 role. Originally was going to join at i7 but am eligible for move to i8 after discussions. What should I be asking for since I'll be accepting an i8 promotion? I'm in Seattle, and thinking 165k at least would be acceptable as it matches up with glassdoor average. There is a bonus component which for i8 is 8%. Dell generally doesn't do sign on but no harm asking
Let me clarify. In this case the offer I described does include the sign on bonus. This is based on the i7 offer. Once we had agreed that I could move to i8 instead, I now need to figure out what an acceptable offer is for i8
