If you ever wonder Deloitte is one huge company, you are wrong. It is one brand but functions as multiple entities across the globe competing with each other and those in the industry in terms of revenue generation and others. If you are ever wondering which entity to join, Close your eyes and say yes to Deloitte USI. Deloitte India on the other hand is extremely disappointing. Each one of you report to a partner and your appraisal, recognitions, rewards, everything depends on the budget that partner has got. Which is horrifying. Further, majority of the policies and procedures vary from USI and India. For instance, the notice period in Deloitte India is 90 days (3 months) while only 1.5 or 2 months in USI. There is no proper cab facility for women either. The talent retention is the worse. Let me explain, say you are not satisfied with the work culture or any other reason and would like to make a jump, there comes the bonus and appriasal policy- they won't give you a good hike, keep you underpaid and bring candidates with high hikes from outside. They tell you in you are getting promoted or not on 1st June but only let you know your hike on the 30th. You are dissatisfied and resign, 3 months notice and it is September and makes you ineligible for performance bonus because you've resigned. Say you collected the bonus in September and resign, 3 months notice and you miss the December year end bonus. Say you resigned in December after collecting the bonus, 3 months notice and you are ineligible for the apprais cycle. This is how they operate. Horrendous.
