I have my exit interview with deloitte tomorrow, what should I expect? I’ve never done one before
Issues you have faced within Deloitte. How was your manager. Did you faced any issue with him/her. Any challenge you faced from organization's front.
Lol don’t say nothin. You left for different experiences and felt that your time at Deloitte was GRRRRRRRREAT!
Sure. TC & YOE or GTFO!
Exit interviews are not really in your best interest to divulge any information. If you give constructive feedback, it can burn bridges depending on how HR passes it along. The fact you are leaving tells me whatever issue you're facing, pay, work life balance, interesting work, etc you were not able to address while you were there. Don't try and address it on the way out. Remember everyone you think you hate right now could be the next VP at a high paying company and you might want a referral if it's not directly under them. Smile, talk about how amazing the company is, you love it, but this opportunity aligns with your personal interests and leave it at that.
Be honest and sincere. If your manager was a moron tell them. Fear no one
Tell them that you couldn't access porn on your work computer and your new employer has promised all the pr0n.
Be courteous. This is one of those cases in which you have nothing to gain from brutal honesty. Besides that it’s a formality, don’t sweat it.
Don't burn bridges. Tech is a small world.
Tell them you were Deloitted to work for this company
or Deloitted to leave
You may be inclined to tell them all the stuff you hate working there, but the "best" answer usually is "It was a pleasure working here, but I want to try another opportunity" Your goal is: - Not to burn bridges, you never know if you need that employment verification letter or something - Leave the doors open in case you want a reference letter from your manager - It's a small world, you may end up working with similar folks again. Remember, the exit interview isn't done for your own benefit.
They will just ask you what you liked, what you didn't like, why you are leaving. No big deal.
