This could be slightly off-topic, sorry couldn't find a better topic to post under. I'm currently on F1 visa, and my H1B has been picked in the lottery. I will be marrying my dentist fiancee in the next few months, and we are trying to figure out the opportunities for her, to choose a career in the US. At this moment, I'm not able to fund her dentistry education to become a dentist. Hence, I'm here seeking your guidance on relevant career options for her. It would be a great help if you can point me to people who had been in same situation. Thanks in advance.
I was in similar situation as yours w.r.t international dentist as fiancée and now wife. I was not able to support her costly dental tuition fee here in USA. She cleared boards and we took loan in home county. My personal observation: we try to find alternate options for her career couple of years back. I don’t see anything other then public health sector. And she is not interested in it as well. So she ended up studying IDS( dentistry here to server as doctor). And clearing boards and interview at dental school is not easy and fun as well.
I am in the same boat but the difference is, I got married to the Dentist(from India, MDS).. 😜 Coming to the point, Even after having a money, its not worth and guaranteed to get BDS here in U.S. for international students. It would be waste of 4-5 yrs+effort+money; Moreover, if H4 is revoked then everything will be wasted totally. Cherry on top (Sarcasm) 😄 DM me if you would like to discuss further and can share more.
