Some parts of SF for sure, NOPA, Hayes Valley. Also, Berkeley is fun. Depends on your age, lifestyle and interests. But Sunnyvale is basically suburban hell with as much nightlife, excitement and culture as plain cardboard.
Sunnyvale ain’t depressing, your TC is. I wish you luck with that. Grind LC , system design. Once you switch, you’ll find the same place so much more fun.

My TC at 24 : 130k , but when I was 24, inflation and other things weren’t as bad.
