Design Portfolio Presentation: super in-depth about one project or not so in-depth about two?

Keep going back and forth about this so decided to ask y’all. 6 YOE Product Design I have reviewed portfolios but can’t decide which I rather see as an interviewer. I might just prepare for both and ask them straight up. 30 minute presentation with 15 minutes for questions. I can go super in depth about one large project and talk for 30+ minutes on it or I can focus more on the end result and show two projects. 15 minutes is just too short of a time to really talk about all the steps and analysis I did though. Second project with all the steps is on my web portfolio but first project (and most recent) isnt up there yet.

If just 15mins, I would present 1 project

Apologies if I was confusing. It’s 30 minutes. I was saying 15 per project would be if there were two.

But also depends on what do you want to highlight about yourself

Thanks for the reply. Thinking through it I’m thinking about cutting what I’m going to say and present both projects.

Maybe spend most of the time on one and a little bit of time giving an overview of #2? Like a 22/8 split.

If you can prepare and present three projects. This allows you to show your work and skill at a high level and presents plenty of avenues for insightful questions.

I’d recommend presenting both and allowing enough room throughout for questions. You won’t be able to read your interviewer’s mind about what exactly they’re assessing you for so it’s best to let them ask questions.
